_F0C8243 - loresThe U.S. Green Building Council just released its 2013 list of states with the highest distribution of LEED-certified buildings.  Wisconsin falls short of the top 10 but ranks a respectable #17.  Commentary in a recent Milwaukee Journal Sentinel news article could signal our state’s continued progression in sustainable building design and transformation.  “Wisconsin is really a leader and the projects are refreshing,” said James Benya, a California architectural consultant and longtime judge of the annual Wisconsin Green Building Alliance Sustainability Energy Efficiency competition.

Our 1102 S. Park development in Madison supports Wisconsin’s green building movement and is on track to receive LEED certification.  Ghidorzi companies designed and built the facility to LEED certification standards in an effort to save money, use less energy, reduce carbon emissions and contribute to a healthier environment for residents, workers and the larger community.

Looking back at the building’s fall opening celebration reminds us how comfortable our team looks without hats, coats and gloves!
