Ghidorzi Green & Clean Set for April 21

Ghidorzi Green & Clean

Today’s weather forecast has us channeling spring and thinking Green & Clean!  Save the date for Saturday, April 21, the day before Earth Day, at Corporate Cove Tower.

The Ghidorzi Green & Clean To Date

We launched the event – greater Wausau’s first-ever community wide cleanup – in 2010, suspecting that there must be others as passionate about litter-free living as we are.  Wow, has the community responded!  The first year yielded 300 volunteers and 1,000 bags of trash.  Last year, 450 volunteers turned out to fill 1,700 trash bags.  Help us raise the bar again this year.

Why You Should Join Us

A clean city makes a bold statement about the community.  It shows that we take pride in our hometown, and even more importantly that we take ownership of it.  A clean community is magnetic – it draws people outdoors, attracts visitors and gives an all-around positive feeling about the area.  Finally, unlike many environmental problems, we can control litter 100%.  Let’s make greater Wausau Green & Clean by making it litter-free!

New & Exciting for 2012

The Ghidorzi Green & Clean is going online this year with an event Web site and online registration, courtesy of Cornerstone Technology.  Stay tuned for the site’s launch later this week.  In the meantime, visit our event page on Facebook.

We are replacing the thank-you lunch following the event with an energizing thank-you kick-off prior to the event.  Please join us for refreshments and check-in beginning at 8.30 a.m.
